How to remove a team member from an event
Open the Members dialog, find the person, click the trash icon next to their name, and confirm. Their account stays alive — they just lose access to this one event.
What "remove" actually does
Removing someone from an event takes them off that event only. Their Overture account is preserved — they keep their login, their personal follow-ups history, and any other events they're assigned to.
Use this when a contractor's gig ends, a tester is done helping, or you accidentally added the wrong person.
Steps
- Open the event from the Dashboard.
- Click Members in the top toolbar.
- In the dialog, scroll the member list and find the person you want to remove.
- Click the trash icon at the right end of their row.
- A confirmation appears: "Remove [name]?" — click Remove to confirm, or Cancel to back out.
What happens to their work
Their follow-up assignments, their edits to rows, and any sessions they were on are all preserved on the event. Overture just removes their access to view or change anything going forward.
Add them back later
If you remove someone and want them back, invite them again from the same Members dialog — their existing account is reused, so they won't get a second welcome email. They'll see the event on their Dashboard the next time they sign in.
Who can remove members
- Owners — can remove anyone, including Producers.
- Producers — can remove Crew and Viewers. Cannot remove other Producers or the Owner.
- Crew and Viewers — no.
