How to edit event name, dates, and details
Click the event name to open the Edit Event Details dialog. Change name, client, subtitle, dates, video-wall toggle, or logo — save and you're done.
The short version
Click the event name at the top of the event dashboard. The whole header is the button. The Edit Event Details dialog opens with every field from the Step 1 of the new-event wizard — change what you need and click Save changes.
Only some roles can edit
Owner, Administrator, and Producer can edit event details. Crew and Viewer can read the dialog but the save button is disabled. If clicking the title does nothing, your role doesn't include event editing.
What you can edit
The dialog is the same one you see for branding changes — in fact, the logo upload lives here too. You can change all of these in a single open:
- Event name — the attendee-facing title.
- Client name — who the event is for.
- Subtitle — the one-liner under the event name.
- Start date and End date — the show date range. Existing session dates outside the new range are not automatically deleted, but you'll want to revisit any sessions that no longer fit.
- Video wall on/off — toggles the video-wall column on the run-of-show grid for every session.
- Event logo — dashed dropzone in the same dialog. See Change event logo for the dropzone-specific walkthrough.
Step by step
- Open the event from the company dashboard.
- Click anywhere in the event name header at the top of the page. The whole title acts like a button, not just an icon — there's no pencil to look for.
- The Edit Event Details dialog opens. Edit any field.
- Click Save changes at the bottom right. The dialog closes and the dashboard updates immediately.
What this changes
- Header and PDF — the new event name and dates appear in the event header, in print packets, in attendee-facing pages, and in invite emails.
- Date pickers — when you add a new session, the date selector now uses the new range.
- Existing sessions — keep their dates. If a session's date is now outside the event range, edit the session date manually (see Edit a session's start time).
- Members and venues — unaffected. They're tied to the event itself, not to the name or dates.
What if I want to change the org name?
Event name and org name are separate. The event name is per-event; the org name is the company chip in the top toolbar. See Change your organization logo for the org-level edit flow.
