How to edit a session's start time

Click the TIME ON cell of the first row in a session and type a new time. Overture cascades every row beneath it forward or backward automatically, so a 15-minute delay doesn't mean re-typing every row.

The session anchor

Every session has one anchor time — the TIME ON value on the first row. Every row beneath it is computed by adding durations forward from that anchor. Change the anchor and the whole session re-cascades.

Doors open 15 minutes late? Edit the anchor once. Every row downstream — intro music, opening remarks, keynote, breakouts — shifts forward 15 minutes. No re-typing.

How to change the anchor time

  1. Open the event from the Dashboard.
  2. Click the session tab you want to shift.
  3. In the first row of the session grid, click the TIME ON cell. A small popover opens labeled Session start time (anchor).
  4. Type the new time. You can use:
    • 9:00 AM or 9:00 am
    • 09:00 (24-hour)
    • 14:30 or 2:30 PM
    • 900 — Overture infers 9:00 AM
    • 1510 — Overture infers 3:10 PM
  5. Press Enter or click away. The popover closes, every row's TIME ON and TIME OFF updates instantly, and the audience-facing pill in the header reflects the new window.
Changing the DOORS OPEN time on the first row cascades every row beneath it and updates the audience-facing pill in the session header.

Editing row durations

Want to change how long a row takes? Click its duration column directly — that adjusts only that row and cascades the rest forward or backward from there. See How to edit a row.
