How to change your billing email

Update the email address where Stripe sends invoices, receipts, and renewal notices — separate from your Overture login email. Done in the Stripe billing portal under Billing information → Update information.

Your billing email is the address Stripe sends invoices, receipts, payment-failed notices, and renewal reminders to. It is set independently of your Overture login email — handy if your finance team needs invoices but isn't the person who logs in to run shows. You change it in the Stripe billing portal.

  1. Open your company settings

    Sign in to app.overture.show. In the top-right corner, click your organization name and choose Edit company info.

  2. Open the billing portal

    Scroll to the Billing card on the Settings page and click Manage billing. The Stripe portal opens in a new tab.

  3. Click Update information

    Scroll down to the Billing information section. You'll see your current name, email, and billing address. Underneath, click Update information.

  4. Edit the Email field and save

    Stripe opens a form with your existing details pre-filled. Replace the Email with the address you want all future billing emails to go to (your finance team's shared inbox, an accounts-payable address, your bookkeeper, etc.). Then click Save.

Two emails, two purposes

Your login email (the one you use to sign in to Overture) and your billing email (where Stripe sends invoices) are separate and can be different. Changing one does not change the other. To change your login email, see how to update your name and email.

Common questions

Will my next invoice go to the new email?

Yes. Stripe applies the change immediately. The very next invoice, receipt, and payment-failed notice will go to the address you saved. Past invoices sent to the old address aren't re-sent — they're still in the portal under Invoice history if you need a copy.

Can I send invoices to multiple emails?

Stripe's billing portal only accepts one email per customer. The simplest workaround is to use a shared inbox or distribution list as the billing email (for example [email protected]) and add the people who need visibility to that group from your email provider.

Does the email also change on past invoices?

No. Past invoices are a permanent record and show the email that was active when they were issued. Going forward, every new invoice will use the updated email. If you need an updated email on a specific past invoice, email [email protected] with the invoice number.

Why don't I see Update information?

The portal requires you to scroll down past Payment method to reach Billing information. If you still don't see the link, your subscription may be on a legacy plan — email [email protected] and we'll change the email on your behalf.
