How to update your payment method

Change the credit card on file for your Overture subscription through Stripe's secure billing portal — accessible from Settings → Billing.

Overture uses Stripe to handle billing securely, so you'll update your card on Stripe's hosted page rather than inside Overture. The handoff is built into your Settings — one click and you're there.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Open Settings

Sign in at app.overture.show. In the top-right corner, click the organization pill showing your company name, then choose Edit company info from the dropdown.

The Overture dashboard with the organization dropdown open in the top-right and an arrow pointing at the Edit company info link.
The org pill in the top bar is the path into your company Settings.
  2. Find the Billing card

Scroll down past your Organization details (name, slug, logo) until you reach the Billing card. Click Manage billing. A new tab will open on Stripe's secure page — your card details never travel through Overture.

The Settings page scrolled down to the Billing card, with an arrow pointing at the Manage billing button.
The Billing card sits just below your Organization settings — owners only.
  3. Update your card on Stripe

You'll land on Stripe's billing portal. Under Payment method, click + Add payment method to add a new card, or use the menu next to your existing card to remove it. If you want the new card to be used for your next renewal, set it as the default after you add it.

While you're there you can also update your billing email, billing address, download past invoices, or cancel your subscription — all from the same page.

Stripe's hosted portal — change card, edit billing info, download invoices, or cancel from one page.
  4. Return to Overture

When you're done, click ← Return to Overture in the top-left of the Stripe page (above the Overture logo). You'll come back to Settings inside Overture with the new card already on file for your next renewal.

When does the new card get charged?

Your new card is charged on your next renewal date, not immediately. Stripe shows your next billing date right at the top of the portal. If you've added a card to recover a failed payment, Stripe will retry the charge against the new card automatically within 24 hours.

Common questions

I don't see the Billing card in Settings.

The Billing card is owner-only. If you're a Producer, Crew member, or Viewer, ask the organization Owner to update the card. If you are the Owner and still don't see it, your account is still on the free trial — there's no card on file yet. Start a paid plan from the Pricing page first.

I clicked Manage billing and got an error.

If Stripe says "No billing record yet," your organization hasn't subscribed to a paid plan on this account. Visit the Pricing page to start one. For any other error, take a screenshot and email [email protected] — we'll sort it out the same business day.

Will my subscription be interrupted?

No. Updating your card doesn't trigger a charge or change your plan. Your next renewal just uses the new card. You stay signed in throughout the whole process.

Is it safe to enter my card on Stripe?

Yes. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest standard in card processing — and is used by Amazon, Shopify, Google, and most of the SaaS industry. Overture never sees, stores, or transmits your card number; Stripe handles all of it on their own hardened infrastructure.

Still need help?

Email [email protected] from the address on your Overture account and we'll respond within one business day. If your card has already failed and you need to keep the subscription alive while you sort it out, mention "billing recovery" in the subject line — we can usually pause the dunning sequence for a few days while you update.
