How event quotas work on each plan
Each Overture plan includes a yearly event quota. Here's how the count works, when it resets, and what to do if you need more.
Overture's plans are organized around how many events you'll produce in a year. Every other feature is identical across plans — the limit is on event creation, not on what you can do once you're inside an event. Here's exactly how the quota works.
The three plans
| Plan | Price | Event quota | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $399 one-time | 1 event, no expiry | One-off productions |
| Pro | $1,299 / year | 5 events per year | Working producers |
| Agency | $3,999 / year | 50 events per year | Agencies & broadcasters |
What counts as an event
An event in Overture is a top-level container — typically one conference, summit, broadcast, or production. Each event holds:
- Any number of sessions (Day 1, Day 2, breakouts, rehearsals)
- Any number of rows inside each session
- Unlimited team members
- Unlimited venues, follow-ups, photos, and PDF exports
None of those nested items count against quota. The quota only ticks up when you click Create new event on the dashboard.
When does the quota reset?
On Pro and Agency, your quota resets on the anniversary of your subscription each year. If you subscribed to Pro on March 15, your 5 events refresh on March 15 every year going forward. The renewal date is shown at the top of your Stripe billing portal.
On Basic, there is no annual cycle — you buy one event and produce it whenever you're ready. The event stays in your account indefinitely.
Deleting an event doesn't restore a quota slot
Once you create an event, the slot is consumed for that quota year. If you delete the event by accident, it doesn't free the slot back up — but contact [email protected] if this happens and we'll restore the slot manually as a one-time courtesy.
What if I run out of events mid-year?
Two options:
- Upgrade your plan. Moving from Pro to Agency mid-year gives you the higher quota immediately. Stripe handles the prorated charge automatically.
- Buy a one-off Basic plan for a single extra event. This is great for the occasional surprise production that doesn't justify a full upgrade.
To upgrade, go to Pricing and choose the new plan. To buy a one-off, do the same and pick Basic — it'll be added alongside your existing subscription.
How do I see how many events I've used?
The pill on your dashboard always shows the current count — something like
EVENTS · 3 / 5 used · 2 remaining. The count includes any active event
in your account, even if you haven't started producing it yet.
Common questions
Does a 3-day conference count as 1 event or 3?
One event. A multi-day conference is a single event in Overture with three sessions (Day 1, Day 2, Day 3). The 3-day version of the same production doesn't burn three slots.
Does a rehearsal count?
Only if you build it as its own event. Most producers add a "Rehearsal" or "Tech Check" session to the same event as the show itself — that doesn't cost an extra slot.
What's the limit on team members?
There isn't one. Every plan supports unlimited team members on every event.
