How to resend an invite

When a member's welcome email bounced, resend it from the Members dialog with one click. Sends a fresh temp password and clears the bounce flag.

If a team member never got their welcome email — or got it, lost it, and now can't sign in — you can resend the invite from the Members dialog. The resend generates a fresh temporary password, sends a new welcome email, and clears any bounce flag on the account.

When the Resend button shows up

Look in the Actions column of the Members table. The resend button only appears when Overture has detected a delivery problem with that member's last email — specifically, when their email status is marked bounced.

You'll know there's a bounce because:

If neither icon is present, Overture either hasn't tried to email that person yet, or the last email went through fine. There's no manual "resend anyway" path today — the resend button is bounce-driven.

Steps

  1. Open the event and click Members in the dashboard toolbar.
  2. Find the row with the amber bounce warning.
  3. Click the amber paper-airplane button in the Actions column.
  4. You'll see one of two toasts:
    • Invite re-sent — fresh temp password emailed; bounce flag cleared.
    • Bounce cleared — the bounce flag was cleared but the email didn't go out this time (rare; usually a server-side hiccup).

What the member receives

A new welcome email from [email protected] with a fresh temporary password and the sign-in URL. They use that password once to log in, then Overture prompts them to set their own.

If the email keeps bouncing

Same address bouncing twice usually means the address is wrong. Read What happens when an invite bounces? for the full handling — including how to hand the temp password to them out-of-band (text, Slack, in person) if email is genuinely broken for that user.
