How to assign a stage leader to a row

Click any Stage Leader cell and start typing. Autocomplete pulls names you've used elsewhere in the same event so you only type each one once.

The Stage Leader column is the fourth column from the left in every row table — right after Time On, Duration, and Time Off. It tells your team who's running the room for that row: the speaker, the emcee, the AV lead, the producer at front of house. It's also what powers the "Stage Leaders" tile on the event dashboard, so the names you put here roll up automatically across every session.

To assign a stage leader

  1. Click the Stage Leader cell on the row.
  2. Start typing. As you type, Overture shows suggestions pulled from every other session in the same event — so a name you've used once on Day 1 autocompletes anywhere in the event.
  3. Press Enter, click a suggestion, or click outside the cell to save.

Why autocomplete matters

A typical event has the same handful of people running point across many rows — the emcee, the host, the AV lead, the producer. Overture watches every Stage Leader cell in the event and offers them as suggestions everywhere, so you only type each name once. This also prevents the dashboard's "Stage Leaders" tile from splitting one person across multiple spellings.

Multi-line stage leaders

The cell accepts line breaks if you need to credit more than one person on a row (for example, a co-presenter pair or a panel moderator plus three panelists). Press Shift+Enter to add a line break inside the cell.

Special row labels

The two special rows have their Stage Leader pre-filled and styled distinctively:

You can edit either label — they're just text — but most teams leave them as-is so the special rows stay visually distinct in the table.
