How to redeem a promo code
Promo codes are added at checkout via the Stripe-hosted page — click 'Add promotion code', paste, and apply. Existing customers email support to add a code retroactively.
Promo codes for Overture (founder pricing, partner discounts, beta credits) are applied at checkout when you first subscribe or change plans — not inside the Stripe billing portal for existing subscriptions. If you have a code, add it on the Stripe Checkout page before completing payment.
-
Start at the pricing page
Go to overture.show/pricing and click Subscribe (or Start free trial) on the plan you want. You'll be taken to a Stripe-hosted checkout page where the plan name, billing term, and amount are shown.
-
Find the "Add promotion code" link
On the Stripe Checkout page, look just below the order summary — there is a small text link that reads Add promotion code. Click it and a text box appears.
-
Enter the code and click Apply
Paste your code into the box exactly as it was given to you (codes are case-insensitive, but extra spaces will fail). Click Apply. If the code is valid, you'll see a discount line item added to the order summary (for example, "FOUNDER25 — 25% off") and the total will update.
-
Complete checkout
Enter your card details (or Apple Pay / Link if Stripe offers it) and click Subscribe. The discount applies to this charge — and for percentage-off founder codes, also to every renewal as long as the subscription stays active.
About founder pricing codes
The Overture founder code is FOUNDER25 — 25% off
every renewal for the lifetime of your subscription. It's available until
October 31, 2026. After that date the code is retired and the
discount cannot be added retroactively. If you subscribe with the code before
the deadline, the 25% sticks for every renewal as long as your subscription
stays active without lapsing.
Common questions
I'm already a customer — can I add a code retroactively?
Not through the Stripe portal directly. Email [email protected] with the code, your org name, and your current renewal date. If the code is still valid and eligible for your plan, we'll apply it manually to your account from the Stripe backend and the discount will show up on your next renewal.
The code says "invalid" — what now?
Common reasons:
- Typo or extra spaces — codes are case-insensitive, but spaces fail. Paste with no extra characters.
- Expired — many codes (especially partner and event codes) have a hard expiration date.
- Wrong plan — some codes only work on specific plans (e.g. Pro only, not Basic).
- Already redeemed — single-use codes can't be redeemed twice from the same account.
If you believe the code should work and it doesn't, email [email protected] with the exact code and we'll check.
Can I stack codes?
No. Stripe only allows one promotion code per subscription. If you have two valid codes, use the better one.
Does the discount apply forever or just the first year?
Depends on the code type. Percentage-off codes like FOUNDER25 apply
to every renewal as long as the subscription stays continuously active.
Fixed-amount codes typically apply once (first invoice only). Trial extension
codes only affect the trial period. The terms of each code are set by us when we
create it — when in doubt, email us before subscribing.
I cancelled and resubscribed — does my code still work?
For percentage-off codes (including founder pricing), the discount is tied to the subscription, not the customer. If you cancel and resubscribe, you'd need to re-enter the code — and if the code has since expired, the discount no longer applies. Don't cancel a discounted plan if you intend to come back.
