How to delete your account

Account deletion is human-handled — email support, get a 14-day grace window, and your org is permanently removed at the end of it. Here's the sequence.

The short version

Overture doesn't have a self-service Delete my account button today. Account deletion is a deliberate, human-handled process to make sure your data is gone for the right reasons and to give you a window to change your mind. Send a note to [email protected] from your account email and we'll take it from there.

Read this first if you have an active subscription

Closing your account doesn't automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel your subscription first — see How to cancel your subscription — then request account deletion. Otherwise we'll pause the deletion until billing is sorted out.

For paid teammates (not the Owner)

If you're a Producer, Crew, or Viewer and you just want to leave an org, you don't need account deletion — your Owner can remove you from the org and your access goes away immediately. Your sign-in email becomes inactive on that org but the user record can be cleaned up by your Owner in seconds.

  1. Ask your Owner to remove you. They can do it from their user list.
  2. If you also want your sign-in record purged entirely, email [email protected] from the address that was used to invite you.

For org Owners

Closing an Owner's account means closing the entire organization — every event, every member, every venue. We treat this as serious and irreversible after the grace window. Here's the sequence:

  1. Export anything you want to keep first. See How to export all your event data. The bulk export takes about one business day, so request it a few days before you want to close.
  2. Cancel your subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal. See How to cancel your subscription.
  3. Email [email protected] from the Owner sign-in address with the subject line "Close organization <your org name>." Confirm you've already exported anything you need.
  4. We'll confirm in writing and set a 14-day grace window. During that window your account is read-only — you can sign in to verify the export, but you can't edit anything.
  5. At the end of the grace window, every event, session, row, follow-up, member record, venue, photo, and audit-log entry tied to your org is permanently deleted. See What happens to your data after deletion for the full retention picture.

What we keep, even after deletion

A small set of records is retained for legal and accounting reasons:

Everything else is removed. See What happens to your data after deletion for the legal-grade breakdown.

Changed your mind?

During the 14-day grace window, reply to the support thread to cancel the deletion. We restore full access on the same day.
