How to check Overture's live system status

Check live operational status, recent incidents, and component health at status.overture.show — independent from the main app so it stays up even when Overture is down.

If something seems off — saves not going through, the dashboard slow to load, or an email not arriving — the first thing to check is whether the problem is on Overture's side. Here's how to find out.

The short version

What's monitored

The status page tracks the components of Overture that matter most to a working producer:

Each component is monitored continuously. If any of them degrades or fails, the status page changes color (yellow for partial outage, red for full outage) within one minute.

What to do during an incident

  1. Check the status page

Visit status.overture.show. If a component is degraded or down, we're already working on it — you'll see a running incident report with the latest update.

  2. Avoid making changes during a degraded state

If saves are failing, don't keep typing — your work isn't being captured. Wait for the all-clear, then refresh and continue. Overture won't lose data that's already been saved, but unsaved edits during a degraded period may not persist.

  3. Subscribe to updates

The status page has a Subscribe button — opt in to email or SMS notifications and you'll be alerted the moment Overture posts an incident or resolves one. This is especially useful when you're producing a live show and can't sit refreshing the status page.

The status page says everything is green, but I'm having a problem

That means the problem is specific to your account, browser, or network — not a platform-wide outage. Try the steps in How to clear Overture's local cache safely and Which browsers are officially supported. If that doesn't help, email [email protected] — include a screenshot and we'll dig in.

Common questions

Where do I see a post-mortem after a major incident?

For any incident lasting more than 30 minutes, we publish a post-mortem on the status page within five business days. The post-mortem explains what happened, what we did to fix it, and what we're doing to prevent it from happening again. We don't hide outages.

Is the status page accurate?

Yes — it's driven by the same automated probes that page our team in the middle of the night. If the page says we're green but you can't sign in, please email support so we can investigate; an account-specific issue may not trip a global monitor.

Why is the status page hosted on a different domain?

If Overture's primary infrastructure is down, hosting the status page on the same infrastructure would mean nobody could read it. The status page lives on a completely separate stack so it's always available when you need it most.
